Check out this LINK to this article. Here is a guy wrongly convicted of a crime but he uses his struggle/challenge to change the trajectory of his life. It’s amazing that, when you have the right attitude towards a situation, anything is possible. It is NOT easy, that I can say from personal experience, but it is worth it.
So important, especially this time of year to:
1) set goals (long term first, then short term based on your priorities)
2) evaluate yourself & identify areas of improvement
3) be consistent (focus on the activity, NOT the results)
4) attitude is everything (have a positive attitude, believe in yourself, expect the best in every situation, learn thru problems/challenges, love & serve others by adding value using your gifts & talents)
Have a safe New Years & make 2015 YOUR year by choosing to make changes & imposing will power & discipline to create the life you really want !!!
Your intestines are home to 500 million bacteria, some are good & some are bad. There’s recent research that suggests the more good bacteria in your gut, the stronger your immune system be. A great way to get more good bacteria in your system is with probiotics.
Probiotics are organisms such as bacteria or yeast believed to improve health. They are often referred to as the “good bacteria” as they help the body absorb important vitamins & minerals, including calcium, iron, chromium & vitamins A, D, E, and K.
Probiotics are believed to improve intestinal function & maintain the integrity of the lining of the intestines.
There are many ways to get probiotics in your diet (ginger beer, sauerkraut, kefir, kimchi, kombucha, miso) but not always easy to source. Perhaps the easiest to stick with is yogurt. Now, when buying yogurt, whether it be made with cow’s milk, soy milk or almond milk, be sure to look for the words “live & active cultures” on the container to ensure that it packs a probiotic punch. Personally, I am big on greek yogurt as it has more protein & less fat. You can add yogurt to smoothies, top it with your favorite fruit, add granola to it (like I do) or enjoy it straight up.
Failure is a nothing but an event. Yet so many unfortunately make it an identity. We get to choose which one it is & how it affects our lives. Being defeated is only a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.
Everyone eating healthier knows chicken is a cornerstone protein option for your diet…but does anyone else tire eating chicken the same old way? Need to change things up?
We do! If I don’t, I’ll resort to drinking veggie shakes or Shakeology for dinner. I’d rather be a bit more creative. Some great recipes we are trying out…
Do you have GOALS, or are you just DREAMING. I can always tell someone that WILL succeed from someone that won’t. It’s all in the things they so & do.
UNSUCCESSFUL people say:
I’ll start tomorrow.
I will TRY my best for a couple weeks & see what happens.
I wish that would happen for me.
Nothing ever goes my way.
I don’t write my goals down (because I don’t have any).
I’ve always failed & will likely fail again but I hope it works out, it’d would be nice.
I don’t like to read – it’s boring.
SUCCESSFUL people say:
I am winning & I am worthy of attaining my goals.
I have a positive attitude, a disciplined work ethic & I expect good things will happen in my life every day.
I start TODAY, and will accomplish my goals by (specific date, 2015)
I have a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly game plan.
I add value to people & take a genuine interest in people.
I love to read & am committed to a personal development game plan reading 12 books this year.
I’m learning more & more every day & won’t stop until I reach my goal!
I’ve been thinking A LOT about 2015 & realize there is so much positive potential we can utilize when we focus on speaking & thinking the right kinds of things. New Years is literally days away. It is the best time of year to get a clean break from bad thoughts, bad habits & start fresh.
What New Year’s goals are you looking to put in place for your life?
